Europe – SAP shops around for 3.4 billion USD
5 décembre 2011 // 0 CommentairesSAP, Europe’s biggest software group, has announced the acquisition of Success Factors, an American company based in San Mateo. The purchase price amounts to 3.4 billion US dollars and will be partly financed by the German based company’s own resources and partly by means of a 1 billion USD bank loan.
SAP wants to take a strategic position in the Cloud Computing market – one which is expected to triple in size in the next few years. According to a study, the worldwide turnover using “cloud solutions” reached 21.5 billion U.S. Dollars in 2010 and should hit around 73 billion U.S. dollars by the year 2015.
