Nyon : Novartis could keep its production site in Nyon

The trade union Unia maintains that the 320 workers laid-off by Novartis and the site in Nyon can be saved. That’s the conclusion of an internal report written by Novartis’ own experts and representatives from the union.

The savings proposed by the experts amount to 50 million CHF – the same total which the company expected to save by closing the site -  but the details haven’t been revealed yet. The report will be submitted to Novartis Headquarters in Bâle on 16 December.  According to Novartis, employees have already accepted the union representatives’ proposals.
