UK: Ever more competition for City jobs
5 décembre 2011 // 0 CommentairesNew research shows that there are 5 qualified candidates for every job vacancy in the City of London, up from 1.7 at the beginning of 2011. This is the highest total since December 2008.
Since the beginning of the financial crisis, banks have slashed jobs including Lloyds Banking Group which has reduced its headcount by 27 500 since 2009 and announced plans in June to cut another 15 000 posts.
The banking and financial services sector accounts for 10% of income in Great Britain.
