USA – Unexpected jump in job creation

Analysts expected an increase of 130 000 whereas the real statistics now indicate a rise of 206 000. At the same time, experts revised the figures for the previous two months upwards, meaning 45 000 more jobs had been created than originally announced.
Two thirds of the US economy depends on consumer spending. The high unemployment rate is therefore hindering a significant uplift in the world’s biggest economy. The preliminary unemployment rate for November remains unchanged at 9 percent, with the final data being published this Friday.
