USA : Facebook to grow New York presence

The Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, Sheril Sandberg, has announced that several thousand more people will be recruited in 2012. She revealed the growth during a press conference in New York where she had already talked about the plans to have a team of engineers based in the city.

Currently, Facebook has some 3000 employees with its engineers working out of Facebook HQ in Palo Alto and in a second site in Seattle. According to Sheryl Sandberg, the company will hire IT engineers for all three sites.
