Brussels : E.U. worried after Portugal’s Socrates resigns

E.U. leaders met in Brussels yesterday with the aim of tackling the eurozone debt crisis. Portugal faces bond repayments of 4,3 billion euros on 15 April, but all five Portuguese opposition parties rejected the austerity measures which can trigger international aid. The summit has been billed as the moment the 27 EU member states adopt a “comprehensive package” on stabilizing the eurozone.
