The airline industry is continuing to experience difficult times, with the lastest victim being the Irish carrier, Aer Lingus. 100 staff have already been told that their contracts will end and in addition, 676 jobs will go as a result of a reduction in flights and new working methods and IT systems. More well-paid staff whose basic salaries are over 35 000 euros a year will see reductions in their pay while all staff will have allowances lowered.
