Ireland: Unemployment down 0.1% in September
The standardised unemployment rate in Ireland fell from 13.8% in August to 13.7% in September, though this was still higher than the average of 13.2% seen in the second quarter of 2010.
The number of people registered as being without work or who are part-time staff but drawing benefits also declined from 455 000 to 450 000, with the biggest reduction being for professional people.
