Scotland: Job market conditions worsening

A Bank of Scotland survey shows that while there has been a slight increase in the demand for part-time workers over the last three months, the number of opportunities for full-time staff has declined. August also saw the largest increase in the number of people looking for full-time work in the past year and this, coupled with the lack of available jobs, led to the third consecutive month of falls in pay for new full-time workers.

Scotland continues to under-perform the rest of the UK in terms of labour market conditions.
