The information technology company Hewlett-Packard (HP) has unveiled plans to create 700 jobs by setting up an IT service hub at its existing site near Glasgow in Scotland.

Following last year’s decision by HP to transfer 700 manufacturing jobs to the Czech Republic, the Scottish Government have been working to try and bring new investment to HP’s Renfrewshire facility. As a result, the company is to receive up to £7m of Regional Selective Assistance support from Scottish Enterprise.
