Bassa, the cabin crew section of the Unite union, has revealed that British Airways has made a new offer in ongoing attempts to resolve the long-running dispute between the two sides. For its part, BA refused to comment.

The problems began last year following the airline’s decison to cut crew numbers on its flights and escalated over BA’s move to withdraw discounted flight benefits from striking staff. BA has since offered to reinstate the perk, minus the clause giving priority to long-serving members of staff, whilst the union insists on it being brought back in full.

So far this year, Bassa has organised 22 days of walkouts and has been threatening industrial action over the Christmas period.
