UK: Construction jobs suffering in Northern Ireland
The construction industry was especially hard hit in Northern Ireland in the two years to November 2009, with all kinds of workers including quantity surveyors, architects and civil engineers being affected. As per a report conducted by the Construction Industry Council, half of professional services firms in the industry made redundancies in this period while the recession will continue to be felt this year before prospects pick up in 2011.
