UK: Land Rover to create 275 new jobs in the Midlands
Land Rover, the car manufacturer owned by Tata Motors, is planning to create 275 additional agency jobs in the Midlands, following March sales figures for the UK which were the highest in the company’s 62-year history.
Tata Motors bought Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in 2007 and although the recession had caused a big decrease in car sales, JLR received financial assistance this year, allowing the group to maintain thousands of jobs in the UK.
A few months ago, the group announced 80 graduate vacancies and received 3715 applications for the advertised jobs in the fields of engineering, manufacturing, finance, human resources, marketing, IT and purchasing.
