UK: No progress in BA – Union talks

Talks brokered by the conciliation service Acas between British Airways and Unite have failed to resolve the industrial dispute between the two sides. Strike action, which has so far lasted 22 days this year, was originally taken over reductions in cabin crew but is now focussed on the removal of travel perks from employees who chose to walk out. BA and Unite have signalled their willingness to go back to the negotiating table in an effort to settle the disagreement though Unite has also indicated that it would ballot members over new action in July if an accord is not reached.
