Disadvantaged youth in Northampton are to be targetted by a new scheme which aims to help them gain professional experience to increase their attractiveness in the job market and give them construction industry skills. With funding from the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (WNDC) and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), the £432,000 plan is to convert a house into a training centre for construction skills. The project will be led by the charity YMCA.
