What is Markeneier? Well, with the long week-end ahead here in Switzerland, many people are taking a few days off. So, if you are staying home with nothing to do, may I suggest a little Easter egg by Lutz Mommartz.
Markeneier: Just eggs
This black and white experimental short film introduces the viewer to one egg, then two eggs, then multiple eggs. They appear to be chicken eggs and they are very active, moving, dancing and (one must assume) having conversations in egg language. The egg voices buzz and fuzz all around. The eggs sometimes like to hear their voices reverberate through the cosmos but they are also happy with more mundane activities, like moving on a table, where they can admire their own reflection.
This eggcellent short film is recommended for those who appreciate late 1960’s experimental films, farmers, egg lovers, astronauts, existentialists, dadaists, chicken and other birds.
