SGS has launched an in-house racking system inspection program whose aim is to cover warehouse operators’ needs while maintaining international safety standards. The project was developed in Portugal where the World leading inspection firm assisted a recognized European retailer in developing in-house inspection capabilities to prevent workplace accidents or racking system collapse which could ultimately lead to loss of life or even the company going out of business.

Through periodic audits, SGS inspectors will ensure relevant procedures and protocols are kept up to date and more generally, they will help to maintain a well-informed and highly-trained in-house inspection team capable of pinpointing potential problems and taking corrective action.
