summer

As we break into summer, a lot is concentrating our minds at GBN.

Firstly, many exciting things are happening in blockchain for digital currency exchange, as outlined by Leonidas Epiphaniou.

He states that the “technology could drastically alter the existing market structure and its players, as well as the economy.”

Already, the battle has started for the control of the heart of future payment services using blockchain. Technology giants like Facebook, Apple, and Amazon are positioning themselves to gain a competitive advantage in a market worth over $100 trillion as reported by our own Esosa Ede-Obarogie. He also uses his experience and knowledge of the sector to explain how blockchain will affect the Swiss financial system.

Change can be difficult for a business or person, but GBN’s Merise Vincent profiles a man who has made it his job to facilitate change. Didier Conus is the founder of ESP, which was founded 18 years ago to contribute to increasing the potential of employees and companies. You can read her fascinating insight into Conus and his company in two parts.

Speaking of change, Justine Deridder looks at how the communications industry is changing and how Switzerland’s companies are adapting to change in this area.

To adapt to change, it takes a great team working together. Veronique Chantal Mackoubily Sindelar has a series of articles on the successful teams in the world of startups highlighted at this year’s Seedstars conference.

But its summer, and time to relax, and our in-house expert on this, Francois Marti, has some tips on this. Enjoy!
