The State of Geneva and the cooperative Péclôt 13 have come up with an idea to rid the town of old abandoned bikes in Geneva. In addition, the abandoned bikes will be repaired and resold.
…some 20,000 bikes each year are given a new lease of life by local associations.
Pont du Mont-Blanc Restrictions by GBN Correspondents
If you drive regularly in Geneva, you need to be aware that this summer access to the Pont du Mont-Blanc will be severely restricted. For three months, starting in June, work will be carried out on repairing the bridge’s waterproofing and improving the cycle route.
The long-term plan though is to re-introduce trams to the Pont du Mont Blanc. This is part of the effort by the State to decrease traffic in the town center.
